Sandra S. Bongiovanni
Bongiovanni, Sandra S. (nee Smith) (April 21, 2022). Beloved wife of the late Daniel C Bongiovanni Jr. Loving mother to Daniel C. (Jamie) Bongiovanni III, and Wynne (Steven) Lendacky. She will also be missed by her 4 grandchildren Daniel H. (Rosevelyn) Bongiovanni IV, Zoe (Carl) Frauenpreis, Anna Lendacky, Joe Lendacky, and her siblings Newbern D. Smith and Anne J. Pfender. She is preceded in death by her parents Newbern Smith and Mary Wynne Lee.
Sandie was raised in Chestnut Hill and also spent part of her youth in Maryland and Michigan. She and Dan made their life together with Danny and Wynne in Chestnut Hill and later in Flourtown. In addition to being a wife, mother, and homemaker, Sandie worked at Northwest Center for behavioral services in Mt. Airy for many years. A lover of animals, dogs and cats were always a presence throughout the years. Sandie spent lots of time engrossed with her various hobbies and crafty projects. As a result, her family is left with beautiful photographs, needlepoint, and cross stitch artwork. There were many winters in the Poconos and summers at the Jersey shore. Her grandchildren point to those summers at the shore as being some of their favorite childhood memories. Later in life she cherished time spent with her immediate family as well as nieces, nephews, and friends in places from Texas to Maine. Her friendship, sense of humor, and caring nature will be sorely missed. Sandie was a gem!

Sending our love to your family in this difficult time. The first time we met Sandie she was sweet and we knew we were lucky to have known her. We will fondly remember talking to her at Dan and Rosie’s wedding and wish we could’ve made a Mexico trip happen for her like we talked about. She was a light in this world. God Bless her.
Our sincerest condolences to the entire Bongiovanni family. Mrs B., as I called her, was always a sociable, and fun, and took a genuine interest in other people. She will be missed. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam ?
May she rest in peace
