Robert Lucas Pitfield Howell
Howell, Robert Lucas Pitfield (February 1, 2018). Beloved husband of Anne H. Howell (nee Harvey) the love of his life. Loving father to Anne Jennifer (Michael) deQuevedo, Stephanie Laning (William) McNeil, and Robert Scott Pitfield (Cara Gentile) Howell, his greatest accomplishments. He will also be missed by his 6 grandchildren Kaeleigh, Lindsey, Nicholas deQuevedo, Laning, Jessie and Jameson McNeil, his greatest pride and joy. Robert was predeceased by his sisters Polly and Jeanne MacLeod and will as well be missed by his nephews Richard, Douglas Boberg and his niece Kristin (Jon) Susalski.
Robert, or Bob as he was referred to by his friends, was born in Philadelphia to Eugene Seymour Howell and Helen Clement Pitfield June 30th 1929 . Robert was an Industrial Designer by trade and shared his artistic skill with the likes of Harper Landel, Univac, Prince Manufacturing, Hurst Performance and anyone that asked. He was a lifetime member of the Philadelphia Cricket Club and was an avid tennis player. Robert was a member of the Pennsway Power Squadron where he was able to build relationships with landlocked people that loved to be at the helm of any floating vessel as he did. Information regarding a celebration of his life and his loves will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert’s name may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
