Robert J. Stravinski
Robert J. Stravinski of Fort Washington died Wednesday. June 10, 2026, at Jefferson Abington Hospital at the age of 86. He was formerly of Wilkes-Barre, Jenkintown and Hatboro, He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Ellen Stravinski who preceded him in death on November 3, 2025. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony and Frances Bogacki Stravinski. In addition to his wife of 65 years, he was preceded in death by sisters Martha Stravinski, Marie Krainz, Joan Brin, Dolores Stefanowicz and Frances Carwell.
Raised and educated in Wilkes-Barre, he graduated from G.A.R. Memorial High School. After graduation, he moved to Jenkintown and began his 43 year career at Standard Press Steel which later became SPS Technologies. During his time at SPS Technologies he rose through the ranks as a Machinist, Production Inventory Control Manager and Senior Buyer. Bob and Pat married in July 1960. After adding to their family with the birth of their daughter, Jennifer, they moved to Hatboro where they also welcomed their son, Robert II. While working full-time Bob earned a business degree from LaSalle College in 1974. He was the first member of his family to graduate from college. Pat and Bob moved to Fort Washington in 1979. He was an active member of St. Anthony of Padua in Ambler where he served as an usher. A man known by many as a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Flyers. He and Pat loved to travel which took them on many trips and adventures around the world. Their favorite times were spent in Aruba where they enjoyed a good part of the winter.
Bob is survived by daughter Jennifer Stravinski Lukoff (Andrew Lukoff) of State College; son Robert J. Stravinski II (Genevieve Gilinger) of Potomac Falls, VA; granddaughters Carissa Lukoff (Robert Furrh) of Odenville. Alabama; Gabrielle Stravinski of Potomac Falls, VA; Caroline Stravinski of Potomac Falls, VA; great grandchildren Annaleah Henderson and Lucas Furrh of Odenville, Alabama; grand dogs Hudson and Carly Lukoff of State College; Zeus Stravinski of Potomac Falls, VA, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bob’s viewing Tuesday 6/16, 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 259 Forest Ave, Ambler, PA 19002 . A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park. Bob’s smile will be greatly missed. His good nature and storytelling brought so much joy to so many. Know that he now finds joy and peace with his beloved, Pat. We are so sorry for your loss.
