Ralph L. Kett III
Kett, Ralph L. III passed away on March 18, 2024. Beloved son of Diane (neé Gable) and the dearly departed Ralph Jr. Brother to Marcie Cox, Pamela Gantkowski, John Kett (deceased) and Maria & Martina Kett. Loving uncle to JJ & Jameson Kett. “Ralphy” was well-known and loved in many circles, as he participated in several activities & organizations during his lifetime, from acting as a volunteer firefighter as a teenager to volunteering his time to help children in need to serving as a Board member at his favorite haunt, American Legion Post #933. He could be found there a few nights a week, socializing and enjoying time with his friends. It was there that he also spent a lot of time involved with AOH, division 4. Ralph was a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan, and spent much of his time watching the various Philly sports teams play. He loved working in the kitchen at the Harleysville Hotel, and was always happy to discuss what specials they were running and how he could make their food taste distinctive. It was truly a passion of his. His work “family” was very special to him and he knew the feeling was mutual. Ralph had friends everywhere. Rarely did he go anywhere and not know someone there. He didn’t know the meaning of the word “stranger” and never felt awkward in striking up a conversation with a new person. He always had a smile for everyone. He will be missed greatly by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Ralph’s life at a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 2nd at 11 am, St. Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Rd, Hatfield, 19440, where friends may call 9 am. Our sincerest of prayers Diane, Maria, Jamie & family.
Our hearts are aching for your sudden loss.
I’m so sorry for your loss I met him years ago when your mom and I went to Montgomery county community college together and I worked right by the harleysville hotel I used to go there on Friday nights with some friends from work. I will pray for your family.
I’m truly sorry for your great loss, Diane. You and your family are in my prayers.
It is with deep sorrow that I am posting this. But, I have to say, I have known Ralph since I joined the AOH back in 2006. He was one of a kind. He always showed up on “Ralph” time. If you knew him well enough, you get it. A very kind soul, true friend, and could always light up a room by just being there. Really a great guy in every respect. Rest in peace brother.
