Peter Paul Liebert IV
The youngest child of (late) renowned Philadelphia Attorney Peter P Liebert III and (late) artist Mari Agnes Gretz Liebert, Peter was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Growing up in Mt. Airy and Germantown, he proudly attended Ravenhill Academy and Wm. Penn Charter School (OPC’64) for his primary education, playing 4 years varsity golf at PC. Peter then went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania and Villanova University earning BS degrees in Business Administration and Marketing and enjoyed his FIJI (Phi Gamma Delta) brotherhood.
He treasured a full life playing and coaching ice hockey for both Universities and out of Wissahickon Skating Club where he made a valiant effort to keep the penalty box warm. More recently he focused on rarely missing a game or opportunity to support his elder grandsons’ ambitions to follow suit.
Peter cherished his trips overseas, to Washington DC and more recently California where he and his wife Dindy enjoyed lengthy visits exploring and playing with two of their young energetic grandsons.
A dedicated golfer, squash player and swimmer, he relished the camaraderie that came with being an active member of the Philadelphia Cricket Club for over 65 years. As an avid trap shooter he delighted in his membership with South Hill Trap shooting club.
Peter was honored to serve on the Board of Overseers and as Alumni Society President for the Wm. Penn Charter School where he felt he could help provide future students (including his own children) with the renowned level of Education that PC provided.
With over 40 years as President of Liebert & Co. Inc., a Commercial & Industrial Real Estate Brokerage and Advisory firm, Peter was honored to serve terms as an esteemed Board Member and Past President of the Regional chapter of the Society of Industrial Realtors (SIOR), Tri State Assoc. of Commercial and Industrial Realtors, Bucks County Economic Development Corp., Bucks County International Trade Council, Port of Bucks County Committee and, a 20 year term as an Ambassador for Team Pennsylvania.
Peter was loved deeply by his Wife, Dindy (Dorinda), daughter Pippa Liebert Goetz – husband Taylor and their sons Henley & Griffith ; Son Peter P. Liebert V – wife Lynn Von Koch and their sons Peter VI & Theodore (Teddy), Siblings Polly Stitzinger (dec), Mari Louise McCarthy and Michael Gretz, as well as a large and loving family.
A Memorial Service and a celebration of his life will be held June 26, 2021 2:30 PM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Exton, PA. In lieu of flowers we ask that you please consider a donation to First Tee, Philadelphia or to The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation on his behalf so that local children may enjoy playing golf and ice hockey as much as he did.
