Lois was a champion of women’s rights and was known for her fierce pride in her Welsh heritage as well as her beautiful soprano voice. She sang in local choirs as well as the church choirs at Zion Lutheran Church in Flourtown, PA, and at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in North Wales.
A memorial service will be held at a later time. Interment at Union Cemetery in Whitemarsh is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moravian College Scholarship Fund (https://app.mobilecause.com/form/c0-xaA?vid=84jpp) in her honor.
Lois is my loving sister and I will miss her. Living in Colorado made it difficult to keep in touch as much as I would have liked to, whenever we talked she was so happy to hear from me and we never failed to tell each other we loved each other and how fortunate we were to be sisters.
I was sad to learn about Mrs. Geehr’s passing. I got to know her when her husband the late Rev. Geehr was interim pastor at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ambler, PA (now closed). She was a very pleasant person.
Dear Geerh Family,
I am sorry for your loss. We are going through the Loss of our father Fred, 4/23/20. These are tough times. My best memories of your mom was of how supportive she was of me. She believed in my voice in Junior Choir. She was a sweet lady.
Respectfully,
Jim Rude
