He is also preceded in death by his sons: Craig, John, and Lewis III, brother: 1st Lt John J Hatch KIA WWII, and sister: Burquin Hatch Morrow. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Brittany Corinne, Kirsten, Jacob, and John. Lew proudly served his country in the US Air Force during WWII and played on the Second Air Force Baseball Team. After his service, Lew attended and graduated from Ursinus College. During his time there Lew co-organized the first golf team, which he captained during his senior year. He also played for Ursinus in the NCAA Championship (1947 @ Michigan). After college, Lew worked for influential companies including Haskins and Sells, Teleflex Incorporated (CFO), Clark Corporation (CEO), and served on several Boards of Directors: Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE – 22 years), Park Ohio Holdings Corp. Lew was a member of Sea Island Gold Club and earned numerous awards throughout the years, including three club championships at Sandy Run C.C., Oreland, PA, as well as two Golf Association of Philadelphia Husband and Wife victories alongside Jean. In addition, Lew served 8 years on the executive committee of Golf Assn. of Philadelphia. My very sincere wishes for Lewis and Jean Hatch. He is now home with his God, and I pray for his continued deep concern for the many people he has met along his life on earth. I know the kindness and respect he had for his many friends. I will always have a place in my heart for Lew and his family.
