John W. “Bill” House
House, John William “Bill” (January 11, 2018) Beloved husband of Audrey (nee Scoble). Loving father to Barbara (the late Scott) Kerr, William (Diana) House, Kenneth (Carol Nightengale) House, Laura (Doug) McCann, and Steve (Lisa Javorka) House. Grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 18. Brother of Marian Schilling, and the late Charles House Jr., and Gladys Moorehouse. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. In service to his community, Bill lived his entire life in Flourtown where he was active with the Flourtown Volunteer Fire Company for seventy-three years. Serving as Chief for twenty-five years. In service to his country, Bill fought in World War II in the Twelfth Armored Division, the “Hellcats”, in France and in Germany where he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Bill touched the lives of so many. At ease now, Private House. Relatives and friends are invited to Bill’s Funeral Service Wednesday, January 17th 12:30pm at First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, 1710 Bethlehem Pike. His viewing will be Tuesday, January 16th 4-7pm Craft Funeral Home of Erdenheim, 814 Bethlehem Pike. Interment Whitemarsh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions in Bill’s name may be made to Flourtown Fire Company, 1526 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA 19031, or First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, 1710 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA 19031.
