John J. “Jack” Dowds, 97, of Oreland, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 6, 2026.

Jack was the devoted husband of the late Regina A. “Jean” Dowds (nee Fay), his wife of over 60 years. He was a proud and loving father to John J. (Maureen) Dowds, Thomas J. (Antoinette) Dowds, and Jean M. (Robert) Garvin, and the late Richard and Michael Dowds.

Jack adored being a grandfather and leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jack’s viewing on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Holy Martyrs Church, 120 Allison Rd., Oreland, PA 19075. His mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Jack will be laid to rest at St. John Neumann Cemetery.
