Jeanne L. Armstrong

Jeanne L. Armstrong (nee Gantert), 95, passed away peacefully at Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale, PA on June 1, 2024.  Born in Philadelphia to Charles L. and Anna E. (nee Hess) Gantert on November 22, 1928.  Jeanne lived in the Rhawnhurst and Somerton sections of Philadelphia most of her life.  She graduated from Little Flower High School class of 1946 and began her beautiful story with her cherished Larry in 1951, dedicating her life to their family.

 

Jeanne was the beloved wife of the late Laurence W. Armstrong.  Loving mother to Peter, Gregory (Donna), Lorraine Litvinas (David Yanoff), Paula Gallant (Robert), Linda Burgess (Brian) and Christopher (Michelle).  She was the adoring grandmother to Maureen, Jason, Keith, Kyle, Matthew, Melinda, Kara, Jenna, Jonathan, Olivia, Holly and Tara and she will be greatly missed by her 12 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Ellen Gantert and brother-in-law Paul Armstrong.

 

Jeanne was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Eileen Armstrong as well as her late brothers and sisters, Charles, Gerard, Robert, Bernard, Elizabeth, Claire, Kathleen, Paula and Lois.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Friday, June 14 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at St. Christopher’s Church, 13301 Proctor Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19116.  Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m.  Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery immediately following mass.
