Helen L. Swain

Swain, Helen L.  Helen passed away on February 27, 2024 at the age of 105. A longtime resident of Chestnut Hill, she was residing at Cathedral Village at the time of her death.  Helen served as a Yeoman First Class in the Navy during World War II and was a longtime administrative assistant to the president of the Franklin Institute.  Helen was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Frank, her nephews William M. Swain, Jr. and Anthony Swain.  She is survived by her nephews and nieces Clifford H. Swain, Thomas S. Swain, Mary Rodney Borie, June R. McLaughlin, Edward Swain and many great nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to St. Paul’s Church, 22 E. Chestnut Hill  Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118
