Elizabeth B. “Biz” Kacher
In Loving Memory of Elizabeth B. “Biz” Kacher (nee Mauger)
Elizabeth B. “Biz” Kacher, a cherished soul, departed this world on January 24, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth. She was the beloved wife of Andrew B. Kacher, a loving mother to Melissa (Bryan) Keenan, Lindsey (Chris) Imperatore, and Julie (Eric) Jaskuta. Biz was also a doting grandmother to Victoria, Chelsea, Heather, Hudson, Wells, and Carter. Sister of Gary Mauger, and Gretchen Hejazi. She will also be missed by her brother-in-law Arthur Kacher. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Biz dedicated an impressive 30 years of her life to molding young minds as a beloved kindergarten teacher. Her passion for education touched the lives of countless children who fondly remember her as a guiding light in their formative years. The impact she made in the classroom echoes through the hearts of generations she nurtured with care and dedication.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Biz’s remarkable life at her Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 10, 11am at the Flourtown Country Club, 150 McCluskey Rd, Flourtown, PA 19031 followed by a luncheon. Interment will be private.
As we bid farewell to Biz, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives, the lessons she imparted, and the love and laughter she shared. Though she may be gone from our sight, her outgoing legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire us all. In lieu of flowers, let us carry forward her spirit by spreading love and if you feel compelled, contributions in Biz’s name may be made to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation to help find a cure the disease that took her from us too soon.
I am sending my deepest sympathies to the Kacher family at this incredibly difficult time.
My name is Theresa and I had the incredible honor to work with Biz for 10 years at Blue Bell. When I arrived at the building in 2010, Biz invited me (a third grade teacher) to be her Kindergarten class “buddy” and we kept that partnership for our entire decade together. Every month we’d get our kids together to do a cross-grade level activity. We had so much fun planning and doing these activities with the kids. Biz was so incredibly adept with Kindergarten kids – it was really magical. My students and I always loved our KK buddies. I also got to spend lots of time with Biz talking about family, life and school in the workroom every morning. We were the early birds and it was a pleasure to start each day with Biz. After retirement, we had fun at our Blue Bell retirees lunches. What a joy to have known and worked with such a positive, playful, warm woman. I will carry her cheerful voice with me – “Hey, Buddy!”

Biz was first Mattison liaison, helping me learn and acclimate to a new community. We reunited at Blue Bell, where she retired from my 1st classroom. I’ll remember hugging each other in that wonderful classroom with shared Wissahickon memories.
Biz was a dedicated and loved educator, leaving an amazing legacy of a life well-lived.
We were soo saddened to hear of Biz passing away. She was such a beautiful spirit with a beautiful Smile, our thoughts and prayers are with you Andy and your entire family. Love Juan and Jane
My condolences to the Kacher family. I am so saddened by this but will remember Biz as a gentle, thoughtful, and caring person. My love and my prayers to all family and friends.
I came upon this news unexpectedly. We knew Biz in the early part of her career, when she was a child care worker at Hilary House in Chestnut Hill. She was a vital part of a team who helped our young daughter recover from menningitis. My heart is heavy. My deepest condolences to the entire Kacher family. May her memory be a blessing.
Andy & family,
I was shocked to find out just yesterday that Biz had passed. I’m not on FB and no one had informed me or I would definitely come to her Celebration of Life. I hadn’t seen her for many years, but I always remember Biz with a smile on her face. She was very sweet and I know she is terribly missed by all her family and friends. Please accept my sincere condolences.
