Edmund P. Butler
Edmund P. Butler, 79, died on Saturday morning. Raised in Mt. Airy and a longtime resident of Erdenheim, he attended LaSalle College and University of Pennsylvania Law School. He was then a lawyer for years in the firm Butler, Butler & Butler with his late father, George A. Butler, Sr., and brother, George A. Butler, Jr.in the PSFS Building in Center City. For many years (until last week!), he practiced in the firm Salvo Rogers Elinski & Scullin in Blue Bell.
Lover of history, long-disappointed Phillies fan, and child of Ocean City summers, he leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Margery Butler, children Edmund (Heidi), Patricia, and Thomas (Kremena), four grandchildren, brother George (Margaret), and sister Anne Spetzer (Joseph).
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Mother of Consolation Church at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22. Visitation will be take place in the hour before Mass 10 a.m. Interment of ashes will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
