Carolyn K. Asher
Carolyn Krimmel Asher of Ambler died peacefully at Artman Lutheran Home on December 2, 2024. She was 88 years old. Carolyn was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Miles and Mahala Krimmel. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Asher Jr., and her brothers, Charles and David. Carolyn is survived by her three children, John L. Asher III and his wife Renée, David B. Asher and his wife Janine, and Susan L. Asher, as well as 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Carolyn and Jack met at an Asher’s Chocolate candy store and married one year later. She was an active member of The First Presbyterian Church in Germantown, a life member of the Union League of Philadelphia and a tour guide at Cliveden Mansion in Germantown.
Carolyn enjoyed rug hooking, knitting, and sewing, traveling with the Tuesday trippers, and bowling in a league with friends. Carolyn was an elegant hostess and often threw extravagant parties for family, church friends and members of the Union League. She loved spending summers with the family at her home in Avalon.
A private celebration of life and interment will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cliveden of the National Trust, 6401 Germantown Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19144.

Mom, Renée and I along with our children and grandchildren are deeply saddened at your unexpected passing. We will cherish in our hearts all the wonderful things you did for us and the great times we had together in Philadelphia, Williamsburg, VA and Avalon, NJ. We are thankful that the Lord took you home peacefully and that you are now resting in His loving arms.
