Carolyn J. Sheppard
Sheppard, Carolyn J. (nee McCool), age 95, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026. Born May 13, 1931, Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Flourtown and was lovingly raised by her parents, Frank and Florence McCool (nee Bennett, affectionately known as “Gram”).
Carolyn was a proud graduate of Springfield High School, Class of 1949. She retired from McNeil Laboratories (Johnson & Johnson) in 1995 after many years as an Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist, where she formed lasting friendships and truly enjoyed her work and colleagues.
She was the beloved wife of the late Earl G. Sheppard; loving mother of James (Cheryl) Bruno and Susan Bruno; caring stepmother to Gary Sheppard (Donna), whose kindness throughout the years meant so much to her; and adoring grandmother of Alissa Bruno and Christian Bruno.
Per Carolyn’s wishes, no formal services will be held. She asked only that those who knew and loved her take a quiet moment to remember the many good times shared throughout the years.
Carolyn lived a beautiful 95 years and will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, compassion, warmth, and the caring way she treated everyone around her.

To Susan and family. Carolyn was my mother’s, Helen Clemens Best Friend. They knew each other all thru school.They had a good group of ladies that would meet for lunch on regular basis until they stopped . I would always kid my mom that she and Caroyln were like Thelma and Louise and that “That Carolyn was going to get you in trouble Mrs. Clemens..Oh to hear her laugh about the thought. Carolyn was our last visitor to attend my mother’s funeral, and it meant so much.Carolyn was a Neat gal with a great personality. I pray she and mom are having fun again in heaven.God Bless you Carolyn. Sorry for your Susan, your mother talked about you all the time
