Allen N. Hansen Sr.

HANSEN, Allen N. Sr. (May 6th, 2023).  Allen was 100 years old, born on December 8th, 1922.  Beloved husband to the late Katherine Hansen (Babcock). Loving father to Allen N. Hansen Jr. of Gwynedd Valley, PA, Carol Pratt of Foxboro, MA and the late Heidi Jane Hansen.  He will also be missed by his 4 grandchildren, Gretchen Hansen, Allen N. Hansen III (Kip), Ian Pratt and Ryan Pratt.  Allen was a graduate of the University of Vermont and a licensed engineer in the state of Pennsylvania.  He spent a majority of his career as an executive in the publishing business, working for Curtis Publishing Co. and the Chilton Book Co.  Allen was a member of Carmel Presbyterian Church in Glenside, Pa. where he served as a deacon and sang in the men’s choir.  He was an avid tennis player for over 60 years.  The family service will be private.  Donations in his name can be made to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
