Joyanne R. Christman-Greenlee

Joyanne R. Christman-Greenlee (née Ronig) (August 17, 2024). Beloved wife of the late Paul Greenlee. Loving mother to Jodi Christman (Meridyth Cissel) and Karl Christman (Kristen) and stepmother to seven. She will also be missed by her two grandchildren, Emma Kate and Brooke Christman.

 

Joyanne was born in Abington, Pa. to Sarah (née Potter) and William (Bill) Ronig. Raised in Bucks County and the eastern shore of Maryland with three brothers and one sister, she received an associate degree from Snead Junior College in Alabama.

 

 

Joy married Karl Christman II in 1968 and became a stepmother to Lisa Robertson and Kate Horner in Wyndmoor, Pa., where they grew their new family. They moved to Flourtown in 1976. In the 1980s Joy joined the workforce as an office assistant and a realtor. Joy graduated Philadelphia University with a bachelor’s degree in HR Management. She was a legal administrator in the ‘90s and ‘00s.

 

 

Karl died in 2001. Joy moved to Lower Gwynedd, where she later met and married Paul Lawrence Greenlee. In 2018 they moved into Normandy Farms Estates in Blue Bell.

 

Joy was aptly named as her positive spirit lifted those around her. She was a caring listener and her compassion was boundless.

 

She volunteered for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania and was very active in her children’s interests. She volunteered weekly at Chestnut Hill Hospital for many years. She also served on the Normandy Farms Estates Bazaar committee raising money for programs and activities for the residents. She enjoyed family time at their house in Sea Isle City, NJ, sailing, traveling, playing bridge, and Rummikub with the family. After marrying Paul, Joy became an avid golfer at Old York Road Country Club.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Joyanne’s Celebration of Life, Thursday October 10th, 2pm at Normandy Farms Estates, 9000 Twin Silo Drive, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
