David Charles Ominsky, 77, died at his home in Lafayette Hill, PA on Friday January 2, 2026. He is survived by his wife Elaine (Pogue), son and daughter-in-law Jonathan and Alicia (DeCarlo) Ominsky, and his grandsons Nathan and Matthew Ominsky. David was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 22, 1948 to Anne (Fleisher) & Jack Ominsky. He attended Central HS, West Chester University, and earned a master’s degree from Temple University. David taught in the Colonial School District for 35 years. He was a well loved and respected math teacher and coach before his retirement in 2004. Sports were a big part of David’s life. He played ice hockey, softball, volleyball, tennis, and golf until heart failure and poor vision sidelined him.
David’s quiet strength, resilience, and amusing sense of humor will be missed by all of us.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or BreakthroughT1D (http://www.breakthrought1d.org), formerly Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

I’m saddened to hear of David’s death. He was a devoted family man and enjoyable person. We were great playmates when we were very little! Condolences to Elaine, Jon, Alicia & family, as well as to Marian.
