Yvonne T. Penn

Yvonne T. Penn (nee Toggart) passed away in her home on November 8th, 2025. She is the mother of Rebecca Penn of Bayhead, New Jersey, and Spencer Penn (Marne Castillo) of Philadelphia. Nana adores her only grandson, Hector Penn.

 

Born on June 26,1943 in Hellertown, Pennsylvania, she was the 3rd and last child of Marion (nee Narolesky) and Victor Toggart, both of Hellertown and deceased.

 

Upon graduating from St. Francis Academy in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Yvonne attended beauty school and began a career as a stylist and later an aesthetician prior to becoming a full-time homemaker who loved her children. Yvonne enjoyed flower arranging, arts and crafts, (especially stained glass) and gifts from Yvonne were always elaborately decorated and fantastic to behold.

 

Yvonne leaves behind her devoted sister Geraldine Ruth and her husband, Ron, and her beloved nieces and nephews Karen Wuko (Michael), Brian Ruth (Lisa), Denise Sullivan (Michael), Jason Ruth (Kerri), and many cherished great-nieces and nephews, as well as her best and longest friend, Mary (Mac) Anderson.

 

Deeply missed are those who preceded her in death who are her brother, Victor Toggart, Jr. (Theresa) and niece Diane Ruth (Ken Kleest).

 

Yvonne’s family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 11/18, 10:00am at Our Mother of Consolation RC Church at 9 E. Chestnut Hill Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19118. Interment at Whitemarsh Memorial Park to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Yvonne’s name may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph.
