Margaret Ann Reisse

Margaret Ann Reisse (née Steffy) was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of faith whose life was centered around the people she loved and the things that brought her joy.

 

Margaret was an active and longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Germantown, where her faith was an important part of her life. She valued the friendships and community she found there and was always willing to lend her time and helping hands. Her church was not simply a place she attended; it was a meaningful part of the life she built and the relationships she cherished.

 

At home, Margaret had a creative and practical streak. She loved to sew and mend, taking particular satisfaction in making, fixing, and repairing things. She also loved to cook and took pleasure in preparing meals for her family and bringing people together around the table. Whether she was working with fabric, trying a recipe, or figuring out how to fix something that had seen better days, Margaret had the patience and determination to make things right. These everyday acts of care were among the ways she showed her love for the people around her.

 

Margaret was the beloved wife of Charles Wesley, Jr. “Wes” Reisse, with whom she shared many years of marriage and family life. She was a loving mother to Mary Alice (Dan Tabor) Reisse and Charles W. Reisse III, and a proud grandmother to her three grandchildren.

 

Family was at the heart of Margaret’s life. She treasured the time spent together, the traditions they shared, and the simple moments that become the memories a family carries forward. She will be remembered for her warmth, her faith, and her willingness to help—whether that meant offering a kind word, repairing something that needed fixing, or simply being there.

 

Margaret leaves behind a lifetime of memories for her family, friends, and church community. Though she will be deeply missed, the things she gave to those around her—her love, her faith, her time, and her remarkable ability to mend what was broken—will remain part of her family’s lives for years to come.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Ann’s life at her memorial service on Saturday, September 19 at 10:00am at First Presbyterian Church of Germantown, 35 W. Chelten Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19144. Interment will be private.
