Job F. Rojas

Beloved husband and father, Job F. Rojas, at age 94, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 18, 2026, at Saint Joseph’s Villa, Flourtown, PA. Dr. Rojas was born on February 15, 1932, in Cochabamba, Bolivia, son of Benerando Rojas and Victoria Zurita.

 

From his humble beginnings in Bolivia to medical school and residency training in Colombia, Dr. Rojas came to the United States to further his training in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. What was intended to be a one-year internship became a lifetime devoted to caring for children and building lasting friendships throughout the Roxborough community and beyond.

 

A familiar and beloved presence throughout Roxborough, Dr. Rojas was rarely out in the community without being recognized by generations of families whose children he had cared for. Even the youngest parishioners often shed a few tears when they spotted him after Sunday Mass, remembering him as the doctor who gave their immunizations. Outside of medicine, he had a lifelong love of sports, especially soccer and tennis, and could often be found enthusiastically watching futbol matches on Univision or glued to the TV for Wimbledon. Above all, he leaves behind a legacy of selfless compassion, unwavering kindness, and extraordinary dedication to others. His family is especially grateful for the love, kindness, and exceptional care he received during his final eight years from the staff and caregivers at the Villa, whose compassion enriched his life in countless ways.

 

Job is survived by his wife of 61 years, Stella Rojas (née Victoria); his children, Katherine (Marc) Antonyak, Lillian Pinzon, and Ricardo (Karen) Rojas; his sister, Lydia; and his six beloved grandchildren, Darinel and Adrianna Pinzon, Tyler and Hannah Antonyak, and Gabriel and Caylie Rojas. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing for Dr. Rojas on Monday July 27th at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031. The Funeral Mass is immediately after, at 10:30 AM, and a reception will follow after the service. Interment will be private and at a later date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in his memory to Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia.
