  • This kills me! Left out of the beautiful obituary above was that Magistra Barr was an awesome Latin teacher at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Jackson, MS. She was funny, self-deprecating,
and incredibly smart! She had many a good story to tell and it was a joy to be in class with her! Thanks for the lessons Magistra!
My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
    Sincerely,
    Greg

    Garland, Donna and Family —

We were so saddened to hear of the loss of Emily. Although we only saw her in person a handful of times, we have always felt a family connection.

I remember when she was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and all the trials and tribulations she suffered in life. How “our” Emily kept us informed of all her accomplishments and we too felt the pride of her being an achiever.

Emily has always been in our prayers and we were saddened the day Dick called to tell us of her illness. He asked us to keep her close in our prayers. We talked of her tenacity and we would pray she could overcome this hurdle.

Now we will pray for comfort and peace for you. God has called home His beautiful daughter and she is rejoicing in her wholeness with no more pain.

    God Bless the Barr Family.

    Clif and Judy
