Thomas Wilson died January 28, 2016 at his home in Peter Becker Community, Harleysville.. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wilson, Sr. of Philadelphia. His wife of 66 years passed away December 2012. He is survived by nieces and nephews and many friends.
Mr. Wilson was born in Philadelphia. He served in the Army during WWII in the Corps of Engineers in the tank division , with much of that time spent in Germany. He returned to Philadelphia, attended Temple University evening school and earned a technical degree in metallurgy. He worked in home repairs, construction and the tool industry..
He and the former Naomi Ruth Freestone, of Philadelphia, were married on June 26, 1948. They lived for many years in Flourtown.
At their retirement they moved to Ridgeview drive, Harleysville, at Peter Becker Community, Harleysville.
The Wilsons enjoyed traveling, attending classical music concerts, and volunteering. A Memorial Service will be held February 7, 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peter Becker Community, 800 Maple Ave., Harleysville, PA, 19438.
