  • 3 years ago, on a whim, I replied to Bob’s generous offer on FB of 2 tickets to a Phillies game. He gifted the tickets to my husband and our daughter, and they had a great night at the ballpark. Our friendship started thereafter. Bob would call to check-in on me and my family, or I would stop at his place with my youngest son in tow for a cup of coffee. He always made me laugh, and was genuinely happy to see us. We had a friendly school rivalry (Masterman forever), and talked about how we experienced school vs. how this generation of kids is suffering through it. Bob couldn’t get through a conversation without gushing about his grandkids and his daughters. He missed his wife terribly, and would share stories of their life together whenever possible. He was kind and so generous; someone me and my husband would call, “good people.” I will miss his gravelly voice at the other end of the phone, calling to make sure I was OK. I have a feeling he will still watch over us all from wherever he is resting. But, damn, if he didn’t leave this world way too soon. My sincerest condolences to Ashlee and Jason, Jennie, Kevin and the 3 littlest loves of his life.

  • Bob was a generous kind soul. He was the nicest friend I have ever known. Bob spent endless hours on the phone with me talking about his family that he loves so very much. I miss him every single day. My sincere condolences to this lovely family that brought so much joy to Bob.
