Robert J. Murphy

Murphy, Robert J. (January 20,2021). Beloved husband of Adela (nee Kruszewski). Bob and Adela were happily married for 67 years. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Due to current circumstances Bob’s services will be private. Bob received a full basketball scholarship to St Joseph’s University after graduating Jenkintown High School in 1941. He left St. Joe’s to joint the USMC, where they sent him to finish his education at Franklin & Marshall on an accelerated program. Bob finished his career at Connelly Containers as VP of Sales. He was very proud of his 2 Club championships at Whitemarsh Country Club in 1964 and 1973. In lieu of flowers contributions in his name may be made to Cathedral Village, 600 E. Cathedral Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19128.
