Melvyn C. Hvazda
Hvazda, Melvyn C. (August 29, 2021). Beloved husband of the late Mary C. (nee Kerper). Loving father to Gregory C. Hvazda, Marjorie L. Haley, and Richard A. (Cathy) Hvazda. He will also be missed by his 6 grandchildren Melissa, Christine, Rebecca, Andrew, Rebecca Jo, and Jake. Brother of Edna Nicholas and Rosemary Muffley.
Mel’s long love of tinkering and electrical engineering came to fruition in 1955 when he built a Tesla Coil for his high school science fair project where he was also treasurer of the science club. He also enjoyed bowling, photography and reading. He went on to graduate from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He proceeded to have a long career working for various organizations including running his own business as an electrical appliance repairman where he built his reputation for being able to repair anything.
Relatives and friends are invited to Melvyn’s viewing on Friday, September 3, from 10:00am to 11:00am at Craft Funeral Home of Erdenheim, 814 Bethlehem Pike. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am with interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Melvyn’s name may be made to Montgomery County SPCA 19 E. Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
We plan to be at the viewing. We really feel for your lost Marge. He will always be in your heart. You were blessed to have such a caring and involved dad. What a rich blessing he was to you. We love you.
