Marguerite “Peggy” Carlin

Carlin, Marguerite “Peggy” (nee Scannell) (May 21, 2023). Beloved wife of the late John Carlin. Loving mother to Christopher (Michele) Carlin, Timothy (Mary Henold) Carlin, and Eileen (Rachel Marcus) Carlin. She was a doting grandmother to seven grandchildren, Erin, Kayleigh, Logan, Ella, Hank, Maggie and Elliott. She will also be missed immensely by her siblings, Kathy (John) Guzek, Daniel (Laura) Scannell, Richard (Linda) Scannell, Joan (Dennis) Scanlon, Kevin (Janice) Carlin, Lynn (Gary) Gibson and copious nieces and nephews who also adored her.

Peggy enjoyed a good book, playing mah jong with her friends, eating ice cream and had a song for every occasion. She was a radiant person who was loved by everyone she met. Relatives and friends are invited to Marguerite’s visitation Monday 6/12, 10 to 11am St. Bartholomew the Apostle, 2032 Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains, NJ 07076. Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Rd., Toms River, NJ, 08753.
