Louise F. Rossmassler

ROSSMASSLER, Louise F., Age 95, of Spring House Estates, Lower Gwynedd, PA, formerly of Flourtown, PA, passed away on April 22, 2023. She was born December 29, 1927 in Los Angeles, CA, daughter of the late Muriel Starret Fulton and William T. Fulton, Jr.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Walter H. Rossmassler, Jr., and is survived by three daughters, Carole R. Bishop, Martha R. Blackburn (William), and Joanne R. Fritz (Carl), four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

 

Louise attended Wellesley College, and later earned a BA in Art History from Beaver College (now Arcadia University) and an MLS from Villanova University. She worked as the Archivist for the Philadelphia Museum of Art from 1982 to 1988. For many years before and after that, she volunteered in the Library at the Museum.

 

All her adult life, Louise was not only a loving wife and mother but a dedicated and active volunteer. She volunteered for the Girl Scouts, Art Goes to School, the PTA, Great Books, the Questers, and more recently, the library at Spring House Estates. Louise had a sharp mind, and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and playing bridge. She loved world travel, riverboat cruising, supporting WHYY, and especially spending time with her family.
