Jane L. Williams

Jane L. Williams (nee Nisley), 87,  of Dock Woods Community,  Lansdale, formerly of Oreland, Pa, died peacefully on March 23, 2020.  She was the wife of the late  Richard  F. Williams and mother of Mark Williams (wife, Elizabeth) and Susan Maurer  (husband, Richard).  She is also survived by her beloved  grandchildren Emily, Matthew, David and Grace. Jane was born in Lancaster County ,PA and spent many hours on her grandparents’ farm. Her family then moved around the country because of her father’s government job.   She graduated from Germantown High School in Philadelphia, PA and then attended  Chestnut Hill Hospital School of Nursing. Jane worked in the operating room and later was an OB/GYN nurse. She loved to travel and was very proud that she visited all 50 states.  She was an avid cross-sticher; enjoyed listening to country music; and spent many hours researching her family history, tracing it all the way back to the 1500’s! Her love of chocolate and coca cola were well known.   A private burial will be held on March 27th. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.  Donations in her name may be sent to Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church. 837 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA  19446.
