Ernesta D. Fragnito
Fragnito, Ernesta D. (nee Dozzi) “Nestie” of Wyndmoor, July 8, 2018, age 71, after a long and courageous battle with cancer and vascular dementia. Beloved wife of the late Anthony V. Fragnito. Devoted mother of Lisa M. West, Jimmy Bradley, Jennifer (Rob) Bradley Bundy and Michael Fragnito. Grandmother of Bradley and Lily West and Lauren Bundy. Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, July 17th at 10 AM in St. Genevieve RC Church, 1225 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA. Viewing in Church 9-10 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Nestie’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
Nestie was born in 1947 in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania to the late Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Louis Dozzi. She attended Fontbonne-Hall Academy, Springfield Township High School and graduated from Mt. St. Joseph Academy in 1964. She attended both Chestnut Hill College and the University of Rhode Island. Nestie spent many years working at the Flourtown K-mart as the fashion accessories manager; at St. Joseph’s Villa and various facilities as a nurse’s aide as well as doing private companion work, and lastly she ran her own successful cleaning business.
Nestie enjoyed athletics in her youth, excelling in both field hockey and basketball. She also traveled in Europe as a young child and lived in Italy for her first five years. As an adult, Nestie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren who were her pride and joy! She also loved being at the Jersey shore, having spent many summers at her mother’s home on Long Beach Island as well as her home in Brigantine. Nestie’s hobbies including cooking, doing crossword puzzles and watching vintage TV shows like Bonanza, especially after she got sick. She also loved collecting lighthouses, Lladro’s and antiques. She had a love for animals, especially her dogs and cats that she had over the years, in particular her last dog, her beloved miniature French poodle Melley.
