Dorothy H. Forman
Dorothy Hills Forman died at Keystone Hospice House, surrounded by her family, on April 5, 2016. Dottie was the wife of the late Ivan L. Forman and daughter of J. Melville and Frances C. Hills. Formerly of Olney she graduated with the 1944 class of Girls’ High. Dorothy was employed by Bell Telephone and late at the Pink Parasol, Flourtown.
An accomplished pianist, Dottie loved music, especially choral music and opera. Her Many interests and passions included history, birds, daily crossword and cryptogram puzzles, and beautiful sunsets and sightings of the moon. The original recycling “Queen”, she played a mean game of nightly Jeopardy.
Dottie was a 50+ year member of her beloved church, St. Philip-in-the-Fields, where she sang in the choir and served in numerous capacities, including Worship Committee, Vestry and Pledge Secretary.
She is survived by her loving children: Jamie (Brad) Dougherty, Gregory (Toni) Forman and Laura (Rob Bosack) Forman; grandchildren: Jason Forman, Michael (Jaymi) Forman, Ryan Dougherty, Caitlin Dougherty and Richard Bosack; and great-grandchildren: Lily and Ella.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy’s name to the American Parkinson Disease Association, Crozer Medical Center, President’s Drive, Upland, PA 19013
