Betty A. Lewis
Betty A. Lewis (nee Clements), age 93, passed away on December 23rd, 2020. She is survived by her three children and six grandsons. Betty was a 1945 graduate of LA High School and went on to graduate from USC in 1951. Betty worked as an elementary teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District for over 40 years. She was an avid sports enthusiast in addition to loving nature, in particular, Yosemite National Park. A private funeral mass will be held at St. Genevieve’s Catholic Church in Flourtown, PA. Betty will be buried at the Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty’s name may be made to St. Joseph’s Indian School. I am so sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. We worked together at Hawaiian Avenue Elementary for many years. In addition, we both had strong ties to Rolling Hills Estates. I will always value the times we shared and stories about the animals we loved and the children we taught.
Betty was a blessing to all who knew her.
May your many fond memories comfort you. I wish we were still in California to be at your Green Hills ceremony. Betty will be among many friends there! RIP Jan
